Master’s Program in Law
Our goal is to train students to be legal scholars, and to be highly educated professionals who will contribute to the resolution of various legal disputes arising in present society.
Our program mainly offers “six basic law subjects”— constitutional law, civil law, criminal law, commercial law, civil procedure, and criminal procedure, so that students may master the basic notion and theory of law.
In addition, we have outstanding faculty members specializing in new legal fields— medical law, social security law, child welfare law, and information law. This program will enable students to approach various issues arising in present society, such as the declining birth rate, aging population, and technological or medical advances.
Doctoral Program in Law
Our goal is to produce legal scholars possessed with originality and flexibility, and professionals who can play leading roles in legal practice.
In addition to providing students with basic subjects, we also provide them with advanced subjects— medical law, welfare law, and information law, which enable students to develop excellent research capabilities for breaking new ground in cooperation with other Graduate Schools and Programs.
Our program attaches importance to the study of comparative law, which allows students to approach more capably today’s unsolved legal phenomena and disputes from a broader view point, and to play active roles globally.
