In the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, both professors and students are actively engaged in community-related activities. Their social contributions include cooperating with other research institutions located in Tsukuba Science City in order to deal with the city’s environmental and energy issues. They also work with local residents to provide stimulus to the region through town revitalization activities and the conservation of Mt. Tsukuba’s cultural assets.
