The number of people who need Japanese language proficiency is increasing both within and outside Japan. The Japanese Language Teacher Training Program provides besides education methods focusing on the Japanese language also practical knowledge concerning teaching materials and evaluation. It trains students in course management skills and educational skills. If completion conditions of the affiliated major in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences are fulfilled, and if the major as well as the supervisor grant permission, a “Japanese Language Teacher Training Program Completion Certificate” will be granted upon completion of the program. The program is run by the Master’s Program in International and Advanced Japanese Studies.
